There's no crying over spilled milk... Unless it spilled on your computer. That was how my trip home went. But we had the best two-week vacation and are glad to be back home with Jason! More to come on the wedding, Utah, Denver, and California of course :)

16 months
the months get quicker and quicker!
I can't believe she is 16 months, just TWO more months until nursery at church. Then I will be able to enjoy the last 2 hours of church without miss Hazey running around. She has actually been very good/easy at church.... as long as we have snacks, books, binky, and a backpack FULL of toys...
Her vocabulary is quickly expanding as she loves to mimic everything we say. which includes:
Amen, Jesus, Apple, Princess, please, thank you, shoes, socks, pretty, milky, bubbles, Livi (our next door neighbor, BFFS)
her favorite words: uh-oh and NO
She loves books, is always very busy, demanding, prefers us to spoon feed her still, working at using a spoon,
still has 8 teeth (4 top, 4 bottom)
size 3-4 diapers
still fits in some 12 month clothes, but mostly 18 month clothes.
stay tuned for some pics.

she loves to hide.
hazel has always enjoyed a good game of peek-a-boo, but lately she has taken it to a whole new level. under pillows, blankets, tables, where ever she can hide. but a couple of days ago, she freaked me out. I knew she went upstairs so I went up there a few minutes later to go find her, of course i start calling her name and she was being absolutely silent and not responding when i called her i was worried she was hurt or something. Lucky our upstairs only has a few rooms/places she usually hides so i found her in my closet. it is a scary feeling, but she just busted up laughing when i did find her. I can tell we are going to have lots of hide-n-seek games whether or not I want to play. oh and usually she hides because she has to poop. haha.

sickie
we have a sickie pants over here and it's no fun. I don't think she has ever been this sick :( it started wed night, then thur she slept like all day and fri was BAD. i decided to just take her in before the weekend so i just would know whats going on. ear infections + hand, foot and mouth. (but without the rash on her hands and feet) so just sores in her mouth throat.. she has a hoarse voice, yucky cough, runny nose and doesn't want to do much more than cuddle or watch TV. friday night was awful, she wouldn't sleep more than 30-60 minute stretches so Jas and I took turns throughout the night, saturday was pretty bad, but she did take two 1+ hour naps so we were happy. Saturday night we did not want a repeat. we got her all ready for bed, laid her down and she started to cry. (i'm a no CIO when there is a sickie involved..) so i tried to rock her but she was trying to escape and then the crying was worse when i was trying to rock/hold her so i laid her back down.. there was only a minute of tears and then she was out for the night. (she did cry out a few times during the night, but never long enough for me to even go get her.)
Today is already much better, naps are longer, less pain meds, less TV/cuddles and more play time. I hate sickies. I guess it will build her immune system, and all my cleaning can wait for another day.
oh and work did not want me to come in fri or sun night so i wouldn't spread it. happy day, weekend off!

The schoolless life
Schoolless, lacking school. Real word - I looked it up. Anyways I have two minor assignments left but I've already checked out and it's amazing. Ill get those two done at work tomorrow night but in the mean time, I have enjoyed spending evenings watching TV, lounging around, baking things and being able to be more focused on my baby during the day! Two more semesters, 8 months, I can do this. But I can't wait to be schoolless for good.
What I've been up to this week in pictures:
Strawberry cheesecake cupcakes
I didn't even get mad when I saw the spilt Splenda all over the floor, I couldn't help but laugh and take a picture because it was my own dumb fault for leaving the pantry door open
Trying to decide what colors to redo my kitchen
Working out almost everyday so naturally I wanted to take selfies of my huge guns (hahaha go ahead make fun!!)
Dressing up this cutie with piggies and all
Cuddling to the max everyday all day as much as she'll let me!!

the Minnie Potty
so at Hazel's 15 month appointment our pediatrician suggested that we start to introduce the potty. Yes, she is very young still but just kinda show her how it works or whatever. I'm not even going to start potty training for a long time, but potty's were on sale at toys r us this weekend so we thought we could just get her one and put it in the bathroom to get used to or however you introduce a potty. we gave her a choice of which one she wanted and of course she picked this cute minnie potty
Last night, i let her loose in the bathroom, nakey. I sat her on it once and then let her do whatever. I leave her for a minute and hear "wee,wee,wee..."
I go back to the bathroom, she has peed ALL over the floor (didn't know she could pee that much)
and she is swiping her hands in it on the floor, splashing in her own pee yelling "wee, wee, wee"
lucky it was bath time.
oh, and when you 'flush' the little hand on the side it cheers for you.
so now i hear Minnie cheering a hundred times a day.
Little miss hazey cracks me up.
