Hazel the Elephant

Hazel is a little elephant this year for Halloween  we had a fun day visiting Daddy at school for the Creighton dental school Halloween parade!! here is a video of an elephant on the run ;)

10 Months!

seriously, thats only 2 months away from a YEAR. Hazel is my best friend, we play all the time and have so much fun. Just yesterday morning we played a mean game of peek-a-boo. and she would giggle EVERY time she pulled the blanket off my face. and sometimes i let her get to the stairs.. and then she waits on the bottom stair until she sees me coming and i usually say something like, "hazel, where do you think you're going..." and she proceeds to giggle and climb as fast as she can.

she eats SO much real food she particularly loves meat

she is still EBF although she nurses much less often these days which makes me a little sad...

she talks and talks and talks! just tonight i asked if she wanted some water and she goes, "YA" (not sure  if she knew she was responding correctly....?) and then proceeded to drink out of her sippy

she likes to watch TV

she loves watching other kids and trying to play with them.

wears 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers

has been sitting and 'reading' her books a lot lately

goes to bed about 730/8 and wakes up 8ish- takes 2-3 naps a day. 

she still wakes up 1x a night, nurses, and goes right back down

Hazel likes to face forward in the shopping cart, so she won't sit buckled in, she has to either sit sideways in the cart or sit in the basket part.

walking?! NOT quite yet :) but hazel has been taking a few steps..she is up to 5 consecutive steps as of yesterday.. but this is a video from last week-

oh and she is 10 months.. TODAY! 10 month post to come later!

Pumpkin patch

Hazel and I had the chance to go with some friends to valas! It's a huge pumpkin patch fair type extravaganza! It was really a ton of fun and the only pictures I got were as we were walking out I had to get some with some pumpkins! I want to take Jason there and show him how much fun hazel had, playing in the corn pit, jumping on the jumpy pillows, seeing all the animals, riding down the big slide with mommy, and riding the pedal carts!!

Lack of blogging

I am slacking on the blogging I know... But only because I got a job!! Woohoo so far I love it- it's 2 nights a week for a pediatric home health agency. Nights are not as bad as I thought. I get to put hazel to bed and come home before she wakes up (my shifts are 10pm-6am) I take a nap before I go in and sleep for 5-6 hrs when I get home and I'm good!! I also get to do homework or whatever I need to do to stay awake as long as my patients needs are met of course!!

Hazel recently got a sweet Halloween card from Ryann and cara! How sweet of them and enclosed was ryanns adorable school picture and check out ryann wrote on the back of the envelope- so cute I had to document

The wedding

Hazel and I flew home on wed night a few hours after my parents left to attend a beautiful wedding on Friday evening. Sadly Jason could not make it to his brothers wedding (only in dental school could you not get time off during midterms to attend your brothers wedding :(( ). He was missed but we sent lots of pics! We are so happy that Jared met Caitlin. They are too perfect together and such a good looking couple! I am so excited to have Caitlin apart of the family!!! And it was a lot of fun to stay at the in-laws and see all of the family, cousins, g&g, aunts uncles and carrigan &addison loved playing with hazel! Addison kept saying that she can't wait to come back for Jamie's wedding (haha Jamie is there something we should know ;) we have such a great fam!
