Thankful day 4

Today I am thankful for a beautiful daughter. This past week her sleeping has been so rough! I seriously don't know what's going on!? But last night... She truly tested my patience she WOULD not fall asleep until 11:30! It was a nightmare trying to get her to bed. Whatever is going on - I could not be more thankful to have a beautiful, healthy, happy, perfect, daughter of god to call my own and raise! She has the sweetest spirit and constantly humbles me! I am so thankful we are sealed together as a family forever! I love my hazey pop!

Today I am especially Thankful for my eternal companion, my wonderful, smart, gorgeous, best friend, my Jason. He takes such great care of hazel and I. He is everything i ever dreamed of.

Today I am thankful for a healthy body. What I have seen my body go through in the past year and a half amazes me and shows me Gods amazing work. To be able to be healthy, get pregnant, grow a perfect little girl, feed her nothing but breast milk for 6 months, to see her grow, and to see my body return to normal (well... Almost haha) is such a miracle. I am thankful for my body and the amazing things we can do as women! Now I just need to be nicer to my body and remember to eat healthier and exercise often.

So every year I see fellow bloggers do a blog post about what they are Thankful for during the month of November. There aren't enough days for all the things I am thankful for but I am excited to start my month of THANKS!

november 1st
Day 1:
Today I am especially thankful for my opportunity to go to school. Yes school is long and hard work but it has great rewards and will provide a nice future for my family (hubs school and my school). Oh and I got this letter today:

If you didn't figure that out.. I have been accepted into BYU-Idaho's online RN to BSN program to start this January. I will graduate next december with my bachelors in Nursing. oh and 'Conditionally accepted" meaning if i pass the drug screening and submit my acceptance form :) Being a bachelors nurse versus an associate nurse makes a more desirable nurse. and lets me consider getting my master's in nursing.. or maybe my NP? only time will tell...

Hazel the Elephant

Hazel is a little elephant this year for Halloween  we had a fun day visiting Daddy at school for the Creighton dental school Halloween parade!! here is a video of an elephant on the run ;)

10 Months!

seriously, thats only 2 months away from a YEAR. Hazel is my best friend, we play all the time and have so much fun. Just yesterday morning we played a mean game of peek-a-boo. and she would giggle EVERY time she pulled the blanket off my face. and sometimes i let her get to the stairs.. and then she waits on the bottom stair until she sees me coming and i usually say something like, "hazel, where do you think you're going..." and she proceeds to giggle and climb as fast as she can.

she eats SO much real food she particularly loves meat

she is still EBF although she nurses much less often these days which makes me a little sad...

she talks and talks and talks! just tonight i asked if she wanted some water and she goes, "YA" (not sure  if she knew she was responding correctly....?) and then proceeded to drink out of her sippy

she likes to watch TV

she loves watching other kids and trying to play with them.

wears 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers

has been sitting and 'reading' her books a lot lately

goes to bed about 730/8 and wakes up 8ish- takes 2-3 naps a day. 

she still wakes up 1x a night, nurses, and goes right back down

Hazel likes to face forward in the shopping cart, so she won't sit buckled in, she has to either sit sideways in the cart or sit in the basket part.

walking?! NOT quite yet :) but hazel has been taking a few steps..she is up to 5 consecutive steps as of yesterday.. but this is a video from last week-
