WE are MARRIED

So its about time I got on here and updated you with our new married life!! We have been Mr and Mrs Pickett for 17 days now... going on 3 weeks! Its been a crazy 3 weeks at that! The 15th of August was the absolute best day of my life. The day went something like this.. woke up around 6 (and every hour of the night before that...) then began getting ready about 7 Am. My beautiful Best Friend Chelsey Lloyd did my hair and it turned out amazing!

Tiffanie and Brittany were the best and did bridesmaids and my mommys hair! Then at 8 the makeup artist Jenn arrived...my makeup was unbelievable!!!!Everything was just off to a perfect start. We then left for the Oakland Temple and met Jason and his family there. We were right on time... The marriage/sealing ceremony took place and i swore i was not going to cry! Good thing i told Jenn i wanted waterproof mascara JUST IN CASE... by the middle of the ceremony im crying i look at my mom she is crying and then i look at Brittani and she is crying... and then back at Jason and for the First time ever i see tears swelling up in his eyes. It was such a sweet and special time especially to know that we would be sealed together for time and eternity! It was so special! After the ceremony we got all fixed up and ready before we exited the temple..(I was ready before JASON!)

After tons of picture from our super photographer... www.scottwallphoto.com we then went off to the family luncheon. Delicious food! By request Jason and I then headed off to some Vineyards up at Luna Winery in Napa with our photographer to get some shots in the vineyards. Its a must for a Napa native to have some wedding pictures in the vineyards! I can't wait to get out pictures back! Back to the Wagner Residence where the reception was going to take place. Quick touchups on the hair (thanks chels!) and makeup and it was time for the reception! 7:00 we stood and began greeting guests Who took off to the Photo Booth right away ( check out the photo booth pictures : www.partybooths.com look up 8/15/08 devyn and jason and the password is devyn!) I am not sure if everyone knew they would be displayed for public viewing!!!! The food was awesome Knickebockers Catering brought in a brick pizza oven and cooked tons of gourmet pizzas, as well as the tons of appetizers that were being passed around. Lucky for us we were able to try one of each! We had our first dance to "Lost in this Moment" by Big and Rich and i was able to dance with my daddy to "I loved her first" by Heartland! Thanks to our DJ TOM we were able to have such a fun and popular dance! Cutting the cake was a lot of fun and we were both very nice to each other.. thank you mommy for such a beautiful red velvet cake with creamcheese frosting and fondant on top! it was beautiful and delicious! The bouquet toss went smooth.. except my cute cousin Paige caught it and i think my friends were a bit jealous.. but she most likely will be married before them ;) Then came the garter toss... i was so scared never had i let Jason reach up my dress and now that he was allowed i was terrified! But it all turned out okay...

dancing continued but we couldn't wait to leave.. i ran inside to 'go to the bathroom' and really Katie helped me put on some sexy white lingerie under my dresss!!!!!! So i came out and we ran to the car with everyone following.... we get to the car.. thanks rich and zach, the car was seran wrapped shut... we had fun getting that undone.. and then we were off!!!!! WOW.. it all went by way to fast and It was more perfect than i ever could have dreamed off.. it was a fairytale! The night just continued on amazing ;) i will tell all about our honeymoon in the next post!!!
